Ahhh, relaxing in the sand, sipping on Pina Coladas, enjoying quiet and romantic dinners until late in the evening… Sounds lovely doesn’t it? I remember doing that 9 plus years ago before we started growing our family. Vacations just don’t look quite the same these days, but these traveling with kids tips do help! Being pregnant and traveling with 4 kids with us on this most recent vacation added a new level of adventure.
We just returned from a fantastic family trip to Cancun. We stayed at the lovely Moon Palace Resort and best of all, we went compliments of Beachbody, the company I have proudly promoted and that has changed our lives over the past 4 years. Okay, we paid a little since we added our 4 kids and my sister, but they covered everything for me and my husband including cash for travel.
Not too shabby right?
How we Made Our Decision — Traveling with 4 Kids
We decided that when we do trips like this, the kids deserve to be a part as well. They make some sacrifices sometimes too so that our little family business is a success.
My littlest one sometimes has a sitter for a couple of hours a day so that I can have focused time to work. I am sure he would rather be curled up in mama’s arms reading a book. – Who am I kidding? That kid would be playing in the toilet and marking up the walls with crayons while I scrubbed floors and washed dishes.
But he is family and he gets to come too. 🙂
You know all too well that vacations are a lot different once kids are included. This time we made it a point to have the best of both worlds. Not only did we have access to the kids’ club activities but we also had my gracious sister there to help with the kids- you know, just in case we actually wanted a few minutes of peace with a quiet dinner or some thinking time on the beach. Oddly, when Matt and I did take some time out with just each other, we missed the kids. We would think out loud “Oh look! The kids would love that!” I know I am not alone in this. I can’t be!
Spouse Time When Traveling With 4 Kids
But that time alone is crucial.
Spending time with your spouse and making sure they know how much you love and value them is worth fighting for- even if that means the majority of your discussions are about the kids. We had some great times alone and we built some amazing memories with the kids. Simply sitting on the beach and watching them play nicely together for that full 7 minutes was bliss!
It fills a mom with pride and makes her reflect on her bigger purpose and vision in life.
Would I fly to another country again with my soon to be 5 kids? You bet your bottom dollar. Mainly, it scares me to leave them for too long. I get anxious if I don’t have someone screaming “MOMMY” every 7 seconds. What can I say? It’s a mom traveling with 4 kids thing. I am sure you understand.
We are blessed and incredibly grateful for this opportunity. Our 2016 cruise is paid for and yep, that one is compliments of Beachbody too. The plan is to take the kids yet again. I know they will be excited.
Stay tuned for adventures to come! Now I think I need a nice long nap after all of that sun and traveling! Sweet dreams!

Hey, are you curious about what I do and how I am earing all of these fabulous trips? What in the world is this girl doing with 4 kids at home and building such success that allows her opportunities like this?
Well, it hasn’t been easy. But it also hasn’t been hard. I just found something I believe in and care passionately about. I found a way to personally impact the lives of others and truly make a difference. That’s really want we all want right? A sense of belonging and that we are making a difference? Find that and pursue it with all of your heart (even if that is just 10 hours a week) and you will be incredibly blessed and successful.
Here is a little about what I do and how I got to where I am!
