I started with Team Encourage when I created my little group coaches. It was just a branch off of Team Courage and I was not really thinking in terms of being my own team. Then I began considering the idea of having my own team. That is when I asked my coaches to help me find a name. Team F.I.T. Finding Inspiration Together was the name we decided on. Then I started thinking seriously about a logo being designed just for my team. This would make my team solid. I had not warmed up to Team F.I.T. yet though. It did not seem to encompass what I felt our team was. I thought and thought just waiting on that light to go off. Then it did.
The ROCK!
First of all, I remember back when I first started this biz. I did a team call with my coach before I even really had any success. She wanted me to share what I was doing. I felt like I was pretty much doing it all but going no where (the compound effect at work). I told a story on the call about my boss asking me what the heck I was doing to be so successful. I worked at a wine tasting room in CA and I always had top sales, sold the most clubs, and walked out with a pocket full of tips doing a job that did not ask for tips.
He caught me off guard and I just said, I don’t really know, I just believe in our product. I started to walk away and stopped dead in my tracks. I knew that wasn’t why I was successful. I went back to his office door (grant it, I had no idea if this guy was a man of faith) “No, that is not the reason I am successful. I walk to work everyday and as I walk I pray. In my prayers I ask for God to bless my day, to bless A Taste of Monterey, and to bless me with success. And everyday without fail I walk out with some kind of success for the day.” He got a big smile on his face and said “well praise God.”
I started my Beachbody business with much the same attitude.
The team name “The Rock” is 2 part though. Not only am I building a team on a rock foundation, but I am helping people create rock hard bodies and a solid foundation for better health.
A rock is a symbol of strength, David killed a giant with a simple rock. Rocks are pretty hard to distroy.
Ezekiel 26:14 And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thou shalt be a place to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more: for I the LORD have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
Exodus 33:22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a cleft of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
Job 39:28 She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place.
Exodus 33:21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
Numbers 23:9 For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.
Job 24:8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
… just to name a few.
I’m pretty happy with this name. It’s always going to remind me of who I am in this business and where my foundation lies. I am really proud of this team of coaches. You are changing the lives of many each day just by simply being you!
Also saw in my kids student hand book that they NCS students R.O.C.K Rely On Christ the King so I love how that played out with my team name!
ROCK on!
