I was always the class clown and it seems even now, I have the funny comment to add into just about any conversation. This tends to drive my quite, reserved, serious husband crazy sometimes – but I think he is coming around because for the most part, people like that about me – at least I think they do. I mean, I feel certain there are a few out there who would just like to punch me in the face to get me to shut up – but they haven’t done it yet so for now I will continue to believe that people think I am hilarious.
Recently, I saw a friend post a video of herself working out with paper plates. Now let me tell you- this girl is gorgeous from head to toe, inside and out. It isn’t really shocking that she somehow took 2 paper plates, did some crunchy type, ski movement in plank and went viral- I mean COME ON!
So I got to thinking- what do people want to see more of? Well, there was no way I was going to hit my friend Megan’s level of grace- and that is when the light bulb went off. I would try and make it funny. We were fresh out of paper plates so I used the lids of 2 Tupperware containers. Oh and the lighting sucked in my gym area so I took it outdoors. Now, what you are about to see was actually a serious attempt at me trying to do what she did. As I cut off the recording I thought to myself “well that was a flop… or was it?”
Trust me – that is not how it should have looked. I am just going to go ahead and blame it on the grass and not my lack of grace. If you try this- do it on a rug! 😀
Here is one that is slowly becoming a hit on Facebook. My husband, Matt was complaining about not having our reclining stationary bike. He loves doing the Beachbody workouts, but sometime when it is late and he missed his workout, he just wants to get a good sweat while watching something mind numbing on TV or reading a book. This was my solution (with my own little twist of humor).
Life should contain elements of fun and your workout should for sure be fun! I get bored too! That is why having a variety to choose from is a must for me!
