Just kidding đ Man, I really do whatever it takes to get your attention. Did you see the blog I wrote called Youâre Too Fat? Yeah, that got some attention. Hereâs the deal though. Advertisements that combine weight loss and fast in the same line ERK me! Though it is possible to lose weight fast- it is never healthy and will NEVER last. If you want to lose weight, be healthy and KEEP IT OFF there are two things you can do that are a guarantee. Any guesses?
Eat well and exercise! Now, there are way too many thoughts out there as to what âeating wellâ actually looks like. I wonât get into that topic right now but I will say that what the media tells you is healthy- usually is not! So please, beware, read, educate yourself and listen to those who are having success. Successful people are successful for a reason. Figure out what they are doing and do it!
Beware of false advertising. People will lie and cheat to make money. Sorry, thatâs just the world we live in and you have to protect yourself. Let me use the example of a very good friend of mine. She is a model. I have known this girl since high school (20 years or so). She has always been gorgeous, fit and slim. You know what else? She has always been active in sports and the gym and careful of the foods she eats. I have never known her to take diet pills. Yet, she was featured in an advertisement in a popular magazine for a weight loss pill. This really shouldnât shock most of you. We usually know we are being fed a line of BS yet we take the bait anyway because itâs easy and maybe, just maybe we can look like that beautiful girl in the magazine- Yes! Then we will be happy!
I will give another example of a girl on my team who lost almost 100 pounds doing Insanity and Shakeology. Her picture is featured in this blog. You will note it is labeled quite well now. I had to start doing that because someone actually took her picture and claimed the results were from another Shake. I wonât mention the name of that company here- I want to, but I like to let God sort those people out đ I watched Anna bust her butt day in and day out with hard work and awesome nutrition- not with a quick fix.
If I can get you to take away anything from this, it would be that your hard efforts, determination and CONSISTENCY are the only way to long lasting success with matters of your health- well with anything for that matter. If you are struggling with your weight, chances are you just arenât staying consistent with the things that matter most. Eating well (find out what the best nutrition is for you by talking to a dietitian or nutritionist) and exercise WORK but only if you make them a daily habit. Iâd love to chat with you and help you figure out healthier habits that suit your needs.  Message me today or schedule a call.
