Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Rebekah Bain. I am a Team Beachbody Coach! I am happily married; we just celebrated our 14th anniversary. We have 5 beautiful children; they range in age from 9 years down to 9 months. I have been a coach for 5 years (at the time of writing this) and it has CHANGED MY LIFE! Now, if you don’t know me you may read that and be a skeptic. That’s okay. I would be too. But if you’ve been following me through my blog, Facebook,Youtube, Pinterest and Instagram you’ve seen that my life is very real and hopefully you have a feel for who I am and appreciate the validity of that very true statement.
Because I am not the same person I was 5 years ago.
Because this question is asked a lot, I am just going to jump right in and share my story and how coaching fits into it. My story will obviously be different than yours or maybe you will find yourself relating to me a lot.
But know this – your story does not have to look anything like my story to be successful at what I do.
You don’t have to have all these social media connections and a blog to get started. I really didn’t take my fan page seriously for the first 2 years after I started coaching. In fact, I became quite successful by simply sharing my life story on my personal Facebook page. When I say my life story, I don’t mean a personal version of the Lifetime channel. I just mean sharing who I am as a mom, wife, friend, coach and entrepreneur. Friends saw what I was doing and inquired to learn more. You just need to have a desire and a willingness to never give up once you commit. Just like back then, I still believe (as should you too) that anything is possible with consistency and a purpose to fulfill. My sense of purpose has grown tremendously in the last 5 years.
Here’s a little about me (Rebekah) 🙂
- I am the youngest of 5 kids.
- My dad worked in pest control for most of my life and my mom was a stay at home mom. She sometimes picked up side jobs in the evening to supplement the income.
- We never went hungry, but we certainly never had extra cash on hand.
- Our vacations consisted of going to see Grandma in the mountains.
- Our cars were always fixer uppers.
- Our clothes were second hand and I remember watching my mom carefully trim the budget for her 2 week grocery shopping outings.
- I did get to attend a private school once I reached high school, but I know that was because my dad was good with what he made and had a little put back. I am forever thankful for him doing that for me.
- I did go to college, but I was just an average student and I was a FRENCH major!
Now if that does not make you feel like you can do this coaching thing, then I don’t know what will.
What a coach is: Simply put, a coach is the accountability link when it comes to your health and fitness.
What a coach is not: We are not nutritionist or personal trainer (though some coaches do have that training, it is not required). We don’t need to be because we have world class fitness programs and trainers who come right to your home and show you how it’s done; you just have to push play. *Bonus – the nutrition is also covered as part of each program.
When my clients commit to a challenge pack- they receive not only the full fitness program but also customized meal plans offered through the club membership, a nutrition guide book and Shakeology- the healthiest meal of the day. With all of these amazing tools, there is just one missing piece to the puzzle- the accountability. Beachbody then had the amazing idea to put coaches into the package deal to ensure their customers had the greatest chance at success.
I’m JUST like you!
I started much like many of you – I had baby weight I wanted to lose and going to the gym with 3 little people was easier said than done. I had a friend who was a coach and spoke very highly of the company and the programs. I hesitantly became a customer who committed to a home fitness program (Chalean Extreme) and got amazing results. I shared my story and noticed a lot of people cheering me on and wanting to join me on this journey.
BOOM! This is when it all started to make sense to pursue this ‘coaching thing’ my friend had mentioned to me.
I figured I really had nothing to lose. I loved the fitness programs, I love the Shakeology and I loved seeing others have success. I teamed up with other coaches and began running accountability groups through Facebook. These are groups of coaches and customers who have committed to improving their health and fitness. We encourage and inspire and help each other stay on track. Accountability is often the missing piece and we help fill the gaps. As more results rolled in, my confidence grew. I knew that it had worked for me, but seeing success with so many others really helped me see the bigger picture.
Many of those who have had success over these past few years, with me as their coach, have joined my team and together we have reached thousands more- helping them live healthier lives and yes, even supplementing their incomes- in some cases completely replacing their incomes.
As my business has grown I continue to run my accountability groups, but I have expanded into business development. I work closely with other successful coaches to help those who want to grow a business do just that. It really can become what you want it to be. Many on my team just do enough to earn a couple hundred bucks a month. Some just do it for the discount on the products they purchase. And yes, there are some hitting 6-figure incomes.
Imagine, me – a stay at home, work at home, French major, mom of 5 (who also moves every 1-3 years with the military) making a successful business right from her home office (or wherever I may be). Let me assure you that I am not consumed with work. As my business has grown, I have learned (from the best in the biz) to outsource tasks. I have a small staff and an amazing young woman who helps me with my kids. This all helps me keep the boundaries I put in place 5 years ago. My family comes first- always.
I truly can’t think of any better opportunity for myself and my family. The numbers of email messages that pour in help me to know I am right where I am supposed to be and that I can make a real and positive impact on the world. It didn’t happen overnight and it didn’t come without sacrifices. But it was worth every second. I thank my husband, Matt, who has supported me in this business from day one- even when he too was a skeptic. He is a huge part of the success of our business because having someone who believes in you with all his heart pushes you to work harder for the thing you desire.
I help others build their businesses just has I have done with mine. I am constantly growing my team and seeking out people who not only have an appreciation for health and fitness but who want more from all this life has to offer. I take that position very seriously. This business is not for everyone, but if you have been reading and following along with my story and it has caught your interest, then send me a message and let’s see if this coaching opportunity is a fit for you. I take the success of my team very seriously. I am not looking to pressure anyone into committing to a role that they are not ready to take on.
I look forward to hearing all of your big goals and helping you put a plan into place to make them happen!
