I recently started this 30 day challenge created by Chalene Johnson- author, speaker and fitness trainer. The training is all about setting goals and getting organized so that you become more successful. This is the 3rd time I have started this challenge. The first time was 2 years ago in October of 2011. IT CHANGED MY LIFE!
I know that sounds crazy. The tools I took away from this challenge made me really look at my life and consider what I wanted, what my priorities were and how I wanted to get to where I wanted to be. In just 30 days I had clarity not only in what I wanted my life to look like but how I was going to get where I wanted to be. The whole process was truly so simple- the kind of thing you slap your head and think “duh! Why didn’t I think of that before”.
Setting goals and priorities is crucial for anyone who wants more out of life than just to exist. I mean real solid goals that you think about, put on paper and work to make happen. I don’t mean those fleeting thoughts you have on long road trips.
You have so much POTENTIAL and you don’t even see it in yourself. You bought into the lies you have been telling yourself-
“I’m to old.”
“I’m not old enough.”
“I’m too fat.”
“I would fail.”
“My friends would make fun of me.”
I dare you to do just 3 things this week…
1. Sit down with pen and paper and write down 5 crazy goals. Expel any negative thoughts. Just put them on paper.
2. Buy a personal development book and start reading it. I have a lot of favorites. I will tell you one of my first was a free download by PJ Mcclure called Flip The S.W.I.T.C.H. 3. Make one action step that will push you toward one of your goals. It does not have to be huge. Success really is just a compilation of small steps we take each and every day.
